When you talked about its beginning on your blog, I really loved it and I can't wait to explore it someday :) I don't own a copy in any form though so I don't know when I'll get to it. Ha, the reunion was sooooo steamy and beautiful, too :)

LOL. Yeah, I like this cover, it's different. There's a new cover which I don't even think I'd give a second glance to when I'd pass it in a store. Anyhow, I'll definitely read some more by her, I just don't know when. I had a similar experience with Attachments - I enjoyed it but don't have a lot to say, so I'd just written like 2 sentences in the last bookish rounds. You're not a big fan of horses?? GASP. Lol but how have you read Maggie's Scorpio Races? (Have you, actually?). Also... do you tend to like guy characters more than female ones? I feel like it's happened several times when you've gotten annoyed with the female MC more than the male MC :P. That has happened to me many times too o.O. Yikes, sorry the break-up was overdrawn, but hey, it's nice that the reunion seemed to have made up for that, eh? The covers don't appeal to me either actually o.o. And I hope you enjoy their novella!

Really? The cover got changed and the cover pulled you into the story? I was attracted to the premise mostly. I can't even remember most of the relationships from the book except the romance, but I do agree that it was more contemporary than supernatural. Kind of similar sounding to the premise of her story with Suzanne Young. You'll have to let me know how your experience with the author's other work goes; I probably am not going to get around to it, though I do agree with you that she's got original ideas. I don't remember the title of her other work, but I remember thinking just that.Christina Reads YAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14937783114868207494noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8957870564580513499.post-52002360804777826382013-09-26T09:21:22.267+03:002013-09-26T09:21:22.267+03:00I love horses and so that part of the story was a ...I love horses and so that part of the story was a plus to me. Sadly the rest of the story didn't appeal to me and The Wild Ones ended up being a DNF for me. I did read other books of M. Leighton and enjoyed them much more. Down to You and Until I Break were much better, IMO.

I don't think The Forgotton would appeal to me. The story just doesn't grab my attention for some reason and I guess that's for the best with seeing your low rating. Wonderful reviews, Siiri! :)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16682335183798720529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8957870564580513499.post-19059629614356811042013-09-26T04:12:37.999+03:002013-09-26T04:12:37.999+03:00I agree with your assessment of THE WILD ONES. Like the fact that Cami's mom doesn't show up at all until 3/4 through the story. I'm interested in Rusty and Jenna too! Though I loathe the name Rusty.

The second book DOES sound really interesting from the description! I've honestly never heard of it before. But it sounds like it was too confusing and the MC was hard to like. It makes me think of Memento a little, even though that's not the same thing. Just the way that the MC can't remember the past. I'm glad it was good enough that you want to read the novella, but I'm surprised you don't like the revamped covers! I actually do like the cover for Wild Child, but not so much for Wild Ones. Sorry you didn't love it.

I've read another of Patrick's books, Revived, and liked it a lot. Sign me up:) I'm sorry Forgotten didn't really work for you, I can't remember the story all that well but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it for the most part. I'll have to go back and read my review. I hope whatever you pick up next is EPIC though, since neither of these really blew you away. Thanks for the mini reviews!!!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.com
