Hello, you gorgeous souls! Today is such an exciting day, because to be honest, I really didn't know what to do for today's post, but after thinking about it, I offered one of my favorite topics to Krista and Becca: sweets! And yay, they agreed to this silly idea of the characters being described as sweets to give us hints about their personalities. I'm keeping this intro fairly short since you probably all want to get to know these characters a little better, seeing as we know next to nothing about them, but if you don't know what this tour is about, then here's the short verison of it: Krista and Becca have a new book coming out this Friday—a standalone New Adult novel Amour Amour that takes place in a circus and, knowing them, is more than likely to make you feel all the feels. Anyway, read more about it below and don't forget to enter the giveaway at the end of the post :) Good luck!
Amour Amour Characters & Their Sweet Sides
Nikolai Kotova
White chocolate with peppermint candy pieces. Warm like chocolate but also tough like peppermint, Nikolai is something you’re compelled to reach for during a specific season. It’s not always available, but when it is, it’s the first thing everyone is drawn to. Let’s just hope there’s some left by the time you reach for the bowl.
Thora James
Sweet, gummy candies shaped like smiling bears. Positively cheerful, these little bears are deliciously cute. They’re optimism in different colors—just like Thora James, who prefers the “glass half full” approach to life. Though all gummy bears one day grow up…
John
Chewy and bitter-flavored (really tastes like tar) candy. We don’t know many people who really like black licorice (us included). But it’s the kind of candy you may keep around or buy once in a while. You never, ever eat it. But it stays in your cupboards, expiring away. John is black licorice, the bitter guy that sticks around, for some reason. The one you never throw away, despite tasting like tar.
Timofei
Three sugary flavors in a pouch, eaten with a sugar stick. Half the fun isn’t just the taste but how you go about devouring this candy. Timofei is all about the experience, the sugar rush and living life to the fullest. We’ve never personally eaten a whole fun dip packet, but something tells us that it’s best to consume moderately, one flavor at a time.
Ruiz
A diamond-shaped candy often worn as an accessory. Ruiz would not only sport this ring pop herself, but she’s much like this candy in the eyes of others. Often the fun-loving friend, she’s someone you’d want around to make the night more colorful.
Shay
Chocolate cup with peanut butter in the center. Reese’s cups are like a taste of home. Everyone knows them. They’re super familiar. And you crave them once in a while – for nostalgia and because they’re pretty damn yummy. Shay is that piece of home that you’ll sometimes miss.
Sooooooo.. What did you guys think? Did you like these hints on the characters? Who are you the most excited to meet based on these descriptions? :)
About the book
Title: Amour Amour
Authors: Krista & Becca Ritchie
Published: December 12th 2014
Genre: New Adult Romance
Love is a circus
"Every day,” he says lowly, “I hold a person’s life in my hands. The circus is based one-hundred percent off of trust. I give it all to someone, and they give it all to me.”
The best aerial technique won’t land 21-year-old Thora James her dream role in Amour—a sexy new acrobatic show on the Vegas strip. Thora knows she’s out of her element the second she meets Amour’s leading performer. Confident, charming and devilishly captivating, 26-year-old Nikolai Kotova aggravatingly lives up to his nickname as the “God of Russia.”
When Thora unknowingly walks into the crosshairs of Nikolai’s after-show, her audition process begins way too soon. Unprofessional. That’s what Nik calls their “non-existent” relationship. It’s not like Thora can avoid him. For one, they may be partners in the future—acrobatic partners, that is. But getting closer to Nik means diving deeper into sin city and into his dizzying world.
Thora wants to perform with him, but when someone like Nikolai attracts the spotlight wherever he goes—Thora fears that she’s destined to be “just background” to his spellbinding show.
This sexy and exhilarating New Adult Romance can best be described as Cirque du Soleil meets the steamy, athletic romance of Center Stage.
*standalone & no love triangles—recommended for readers 18+ for mature content*

I WANT TO MEET THIS TIMOFEI. I mean, honestly, how can you compare him to a fun dip and expect me to ignore that?? And Nikolai...mhhmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteHow delicious! Honestly, I'm super excited to meet all of them, but Ruiz, Timofei, and John seem like really interesting characters. Shay looks cute - he has that "boy next door" vibe to him.
ReplyDeleteI'm EXTREMELY excited for Amour Amour. <3 Writing up a post dedicated to KB Ritchie due to my excitement. *_* Anyway, based on these sweets, I think I'm most excited to meet Thora (looove happy go lucky characters), Timofei (he sounds a lot like a male Daisy) and Ruiz. ASDFGHJKL I IZ EXCITE.

ReplyDeleteNow i'm hungry. URGHHHH
I WANT TO EAT THEM ALL (except John and in a non sexual way ofc). I've tried black licorice before and I am not a fan. All I know is that it's good in regulating potassium levels in the body or something. But gosh, Nikolai as peppermint bark. I'm so in love seeing as that's my favorite holiday treat to make! Also gummy bears as Thora?? Freaking adorable. Just his name "Timofei" sounds fun. I've never tried Fun Dip before though. Love Ring Pops and Reese's!! Shay sounds like a sweet one, pun intended (if there was even a pun there). Thanks for sharing, Siiri!! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG! I LOVED THIS! I love ALL of those, (yes, *hides head* even black licorice - a shared grandparent thing) and now I will eat my way through a an assorted bag of candy while reading AMOUR AMOUR!

Also, you come up with fabulous ideas!
And now I'm craving something sweet.... Who am I kidding??? I want candies all the time.

ReplyDeleteHow do you come up with these ideas Siiri!? Seriously. AND as always, Krista & Becca outdo themselves. Loved loved this guest post. (I've never had peppermint bark before bc I'm not a big fan of peppermint but it sounds like such a seductive candy just like Nikolai even tho I haven't even read Amour Amour yet). Anyways, right then got a bit off topic but thanks for sharing this Sirri! <3
ReplyDeleteWow there seem to be a heap of well varied characters here, from the black licorice to the jelly babies and peppermint bark! I would love to meet all of them and I can't wait to read Amour Amour. It's holidays now and I feel like treating myself by devouring the rest of the addicted series and it's spin-offs!
