Guess what? Today, 21 years ago, I was born into this magical world:) I feel so old. Ha! I won't be spending any time on Twitter or visiting your blogs today because I'll be spending the day in Helsinki, Finland with a bunch of close friends. We're going shopping, to the zoo perhaps if the wheather is good and just try to have fun. On Saturday I'll have all my friends over for a BBQ and celebrate turning 21. Since I can't celebrate with all of you lovelies across the world, I'm hosting a giveaway of my favorite books and series to thank you all for making blogging so incredibly awesome and having fun, thorough discussions with me as well as making my days with your comments and tweets. I hope you all have a great day and see you soon:)
PS. Please read the rules at the end of the post before entering.
Giveaway
The winner will be able to select one of the books featured above. Please note that I will purchase a paperback version via The Book Depository. Make sure that TBD ships for you. Why a paperback version? Because I'm trying to save some money (without success) and have had to cut my own purchases as well, plus since I'm a college student working part-time and my income isn't that big anyway.
If you were to win, you can choose to receive the first book, if not a stand-alone, or another one from that particular series if you've read the first one already, pre-orders are valid as well. If these conditions work for you, feel free to participate and spread the word:)

I hope you enjoy today!! 2. Woot, woot, have fun with the friends! May not be like that jubilee you were talking about, but at any rate, hanging with friends? Awesome, and I wish I could somehow transport myself over there to give you a birthday hug. 3. The BBQ!!! :). How was your mom's bday celeb with the fam? You said you were cleaning for the relatives to come over, but I forgot to ask how it went the next day. I hope you had fun and got to play the Alias board game :).
ReplyDeleteSIIRI. You make my day with your comments and tweets. You're the best!!! <3
"Because I'm trying to save some money (without success)" <-- Me too. I think the blogosphere is not the best to encourage this attitude o.O.
PS - you're going to have to change your About Me section now ;).
EEEP!!! :D

Ohh! Happy birthday Siiri!! :) I hope you'll have an amazing day today and that you'll get some new books ;) I mean that's what we all have on our lists. :) I really wish you all the best and stay awesome ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!! :)
to answer your question: When I was little due to circumstances that happened in my country we lived in a small apartment but whenever it was my birthday all kids from the neighborhood would come. It usually was over 20 kids plus adults and I have no idea how we all fit. Anyhow it wasn't all about presents at the time we were just happy that we could play and have fun :)
DeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You're 21, woot, woot!! I hope you have fun in Finland :D The best birthday memory I have isn't one with my friends. I actually love the birthdays where I went out to dinner with my very large Italian family, taking over a portion of the restaurant and being overly loud :D
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday, Siiri! I hope you have such a fabulous day, and enjoy your time with your friends. Thanks for being the sweet, sweet girl you are!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! 21 is such a cool age ;) My best memory, let me think.. I really liked my last birthday. When I turned 22, I went to a High Tea with my sister and later I celebrated my birthday together with her :) I got my Kobo Glo <3
ReplyDelete*Throws confetti and balloons* Enjoy your day!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Siiri! To be 21 again. AAAAHH. I turned 21 when I was in Italy studying, and it was a magical time. I won't tell you how long ago that was (ugh). ANYWAY, I hope that you have a perfect day with your friends - oh to be able to travel between countries as easily as you can in Europe! Thanks for being such a great blogging friend. I always look forward to your comments and insights. You're awesome!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you! Hope you have an amazing day!!!
ReplyDeleteI still remember when I turned 21, we had a huge party with friends and family! It was amazing!
Thank you for the giveaway!

ReplyDeletewhen I was 18 celebrated it with my dad before he died :)
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMy best birthday was my 14th. We had the whole family at our place and that meant lots and lots of gifts too. Thanks for the amazing giveaway.
How did I miss this? Happy B-day, Siiri! You feel old at 21?! I shutter to tell you my age, lol! Hope you had fun in Finland and with your BBQ! And so very sweet of you to give us a gift! Thanks, lovely! :)

HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite birthday memory was probably my 19th birthday...my mum took my best friend and I out for dinner at my favourite restaurant and ordered us both drinks (legal drinking age in Canada is 19). Another of my friends worked at the restaurant and asked us out later that night, so we went out to a bar and they told the bartender it was my birthday so I got a free drink and got hit on by guys (which rarely ever happened to me lol). It was great.
My favorite birthday memory is when my mom messed up my cake (white with lemon curd filling) so that it was a crumbling mess. Instead of tossing it away she put it in a punch bowl, added more curd and frosting with sprinkles on top, and served cake by the scoop. It was hilarious, and definitely tasty!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite birthday memory is my 7th birthday when I had a cute mouse shaped cake and a tiara and everything :P
ReplyDeleteThe most fun? Um, maybe when my father gave me a beautiful watch he bought from abroad. I still have it now, about 20 years later :)
ReplyDeleteThe only real good birthday memory was my 7th birthday. Most others were horrid and now it just goes by quietly like any other day of the year.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, sweetie! I think it was a few years back when my friends surprised me! :D
ReplyDeleteIt was my seventh birthday, and we were out sailing in the archipelagio when I woke up and my parents said: "We're going to Stockholm to go to the biggest toy store and you can choose whichever toy you want."
ReplyDeleteI chose a my little pony teenager. I was so happy.
