Edward vs. Jacob

Books? Team Edward, for sure. Movie? Definitely team Jacob. I'm not the biggest fan of how Edward is portrayed in the movie and I don't think it's even Pattinson's fault. His character is kind of.. I don't even know how to say it. Umm.. He's lifeless in the movie, to put it lightly. I know, he's supposed to be dead and all and how can you look alive if you're dead, but look at the Vampire Diaries - Stefan, Damon, Katherine, Elijah, Caroline, Klaus and co. do not seem that dead and they're fantastic! The movie version of Jacob Black is full of life and energy, therefor, I dig his character way more than I do Cullen's. In the books E. Cullen is happier, more swoon-worthy and funnier, however, I think that everything I liked about him in the books has been removed and there's none of that in the movies. I'm not necessarily team Jacob for Bella, but I like Jacob a lot more on the big screen so I think I can say that I'm team Jacob when it comes to the movies.

Light Blog Backround vs. Dark Blog Backround

I, myself, have always used a light backround. Well.. Okay, I had a dark theme for my tumblr back in the day when I first started it, but it was for like two days or something like that, so yeah.. You can say that I like light backrounds more. In my opinion, they're a little easier on the eyes and more traditional. That being said, I have come across some pretty amazing dark themes (e.g. this one). The thing with dark themes is that you have to make the text stand out, but it can't be anything neon or too light and hmh.. You know what, I just like to desing things. I like the visual effect. Even when I was little I didn't like to draw. I'm pretty good at it, but not excellent. However, I love to color. I don't think I'm great or anythig but I consider myslelf better in coloring than drawing and I've gotten some great feedback on it. I just love to color. And I like to desing things (not like clothes or jewellery or anything like that, although I did draw some clothes and outfits at the back of my notebooks in the beginning of high school), e.g. when we were supposed to do a group presentation in high school, I was always the one to design the presentation or make the posters. I like to desing blogs, too and just to try out different things. What I've come to realize is that I prefer lighter backrounds to dark ones due to the fact that it's hard to design blogs with dark backrounds. It is! I love when they look simple, but stunning and I haven't found a way to do it myself so that I'd be pleased with the result. That's why I'll go with the light backround choice on this one, although I love dark backrounds when it's done beautifully. (I also think that it depends on the mood: it's fun to change things up and I'll probably go with a dark backround for a change as well someday)

Young Adult Fiction vs Adult Fiction

I like both! I like YA since it almost always has happily-ever-after endings and I can relate to most of the things that happen in YA books, but at the same time, there's a reason why it's called young adult fiction. The characters are teenagers who are on the verge of discovering themselves (I can definitely relate to that) and their place in this world, but sometimes they're too childish and whiny. Of course, that can happen with the characters in adult fiction, too, but it's more common that the adults are more calculate and reasonable, also, the romance is more believable since I do not know that many couples who've found each other in high school and are still happily married today. I don't know, I think I'm just a realist with a great imagination (I'm a Virgo, so that can explain a lot, too - we're usually very calculated and rational). While YA is always full of action, angst and usually the characters act before they think, adult fiction is more balanced. I like both: I like a great romance and since I'm very rational myself, I like books that take me out of my comfort zone and on an adventure I couldn't have imagined even in my wildest dreams. Moreover, when you look at my "read" pile, you can easily see that I've read more YA than adult books and there are a lot more YA novels that fall to my "favorite" category. So.. does that means we have a winner? I think we do.

Peeta vs. Gale

In the books: Love? Peeta. Best friend in the whole wide world? Gale. I think Katniss loved both of these guys, but Peeta was like a ray of sunshine in the middle of nowhere and Katniss needed him since she'd lost so much already. I think Gale could have been a great alternative, but for Katniss there only ever was Peeta.
In the movie: I loooovee Josh Hutcherson and his personality is the  etalon of Peeta's. He makes a great Peeta, but somehow he couldn't show all his potential in the movie. Liam, on the other hand, did a great job as Gale since we didn't get to see much of him in the first book. Plus, you know the infamous cave scene, right? Well, let's just say that I didn't believe that so much.. I wish I did, tho.
However, based on a character, I'd still go with Peeta, because he makes Katniss happier. They're both such great guys, but there's that one section where Katniss explains her choice at the end of "Mockingjay" and that's why I'm team Peeta (for Katniss).
Who would I choose? That's a tough one, I really don't know, but I think I'd go with Gale. Just as I'd go with Adrian instead of Dimitri. They're the underdogs. But..You never know, right? If I were to meet my Peeta and my Gale in real life someday, I'll let you guys know!

Reading one book at a time vs. Reading multiple books at a time

Hmh.. It's the second one in a row that I find difficult to answer to. I used to think that there was no way I could read multiple books at a time. It's hard to keep up with the storylines and hard to remember the plot, characters etc afterwards. Well.. Now that I've tried reading two or three at a time, I can tell you that it is pretty difficult, but at the same time, it gives me great pleasure to select a book in sync with my mood and not stress about finishing one book in order to read the next one. I only recently started to read multiple books at a time and it's somewhat even better than reading one at a time. If the books are as great as e.g. Richelle Mead's, Cassandra Clare's or J. K. Rowling's, of course I'll read them seperately from everything else, but there aren't that many books that consume me in it's world like there's no tomorrow. In every other case, I find it soothing to change the themes and stories every other night or day (whenever I read and feel like changing things up again), e.g. when I'm mad at a character or totally depressed about a storyline, I pick up the other one I'm currently reading and find solace in it before returning to the previous one. In addition, it's great to alternate between contemporary romance and paranormal books when one of them falls short on action and the other one hasn't got enough romance in it. Furthermore, if the book does end up consuming me afterall, I'll read it and put the other ones on hold while I'm at it. So there you go, during this pretty long monologue I found out that I'm more into reading multiple books at a time than just one.

Action/adventure vs. Romance

That's definitely a tough one. It's like asking me to choose only between love and amazing one-in-a-lifetime kind of experiences. Which could I choose? Which should I choose? I'm sorry, I cannot choose one. I love a great story spiced up with some romance and I love a romance spiced up with some adventure. I think there can't be one without the other, but if I had to choose.. I'd probably choose romance, because love itself is an adventure. However, I have to say it's such a tough cookie for me to crack right now that I can't prefer one to the other. The best stories are written about adventures and love together – Cassandra Clare's, Jennifer L. Armentrout's, Wendy Higgins' etc (I think there are tons of YA books that have both and they're the most enjoyable to read). Even "Harry Potter" has some action when it comes to love and the attraction between the opposite genders. I think romance (alone) books could get tiredsome after a while (I mean.. How many times could I read different versions of "Pride and Prejudice" over and over againg?), but there're always possibilities with adventure books. At the same time, I'm a hopless romantic so I cannot possibly choose adventure/action over romance so I take the easy way out and say I cannot choose a winner here. I like my books all lovey-dovey packed with tears, fights, action, amazing discoveries and adventures beyond my wildest dreams.

Graphic Novels vs. Traditional Novels

I honestly haven't read that many graphic novels. Yeah I've read some comics from newspapers and I think I even had some comic books when I was little, but I have never read a book that's adapted to a graphic novel. I don't even get why some books are made into graphic novels, because there aren't that many people reading them. Of course for that matter, their print-run is remarkably smaller than it is with acutal books. Maybe graphic novels are for the younger audience who cannot force themselves or do not want to read the whole book with 350+ pages in it? I don't know and I can't answer that question. For all I know, graphic novels really aren't my cup of tea. I prefer traditional novels – I can get more emotion, connection and action out of them. Also, I get to use my imagination. In my opinion, pictures are for decoration and illustration purposes and I would definitely prefer to read a thick book without any pictures rather than go through a long comic book with little text.
